The European restaurant at the Hyatt Regency Tsim Sha Tsui showcases the old and new to commemorate its 50th anniversary

Celebrating five decades of offering European gourmet classics this year, Hugo’s of Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Tsui is launching an exclusive four-course dinner set menu featuring a series of golden classics from the restaurant. The new set menu begins with a choice between baked oyster Rockefeller or Caesar salad, the latter created with Hugo’s table-side service and tailor-made to the guests’ preferences.

The meal proceeds with pigeon consommé served au gratin with diced meat from the succulent bird, celery root, carrot and sherry, served as a palate cleanser before a choice of mains between whole dover sole Meuniere or pheasant Souvarov, where a whole pheasant is marinated in cognac and served with a foie gras truffle sauce. The golden classics menu is complete with a selection of sweet indulgences such as crepes Suzette, with a caramelised orange sauce flambeed tableside with Grand Marnier and served with French vanilla ice cream; a Bombe Alaska; and Hugo’s chocolate souffle with Grand Marnier and chocolate cognac sauce. The golden classics four-course menu is available from October 1 to November 30, and is priced at HK$1,388 per person with an optional wine pairing programme at an additional HK$700 per person.
