The Edomae sushi establishment celebrates the winter holiday season with a special 17-course omakase menu

Specialising in traditional Japanese Edomae-style sushi, Umi on Hollywood Road is celebrating its first Christmas with a unique holiday-exclusive sushi set dinner, offered on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. This holiday special follows executive chef Kimijima’s journey to elevate the masterful Japanese cuisine experience, incorporating creative appetisers and seasonal sushi.

Offered exclusively for three days during the holiday season, the 17-course celebration menu starts the tasting journey with a glass of Dom Perignon champagne. Guests will begin the gourmet celebration with seasonal Alba white truffle rice, followed by a range of seafood courses, as well as 11 pieces of Edomae sushi, prepared with seasonal ingredients such as winter hirame (olive flounder), kawahage (thread-sail filefish), kinki (thornyhead rockfish) and anago (conger eel), among many. The rich selection of sushi is followed by Ise lobster miso soup and matcha log cake as dessert.
