Celebrating its recent expansion at the Peninsula Arcade, France’s high jewellery house Van Cleef & Arpels is collaborating with the iconic hotel, presenting a new, limited edition afternoon tea set featuring treats inspired by the brand’s prized jewellery collection.

Following last year’s inaugural afternoon tea collaboration, The Peninsula is launching a new collection of afternoon tea treats inspired by Van Cleef & Arpels’ signature nature theme and its iconic floral motifs. Guests can indulge in sweet and savoury morsels mirroring the hues and shapes of the French brand’s creative takes on the nature theme, including delights such as apricot macaron, lemon and basil tart, chocolate tart with milk chocolate Chantilly, and mango passion fruit choux that resembles the brand’s three dimensional heart shaped petals as featured in the jewellery collection.

Savoury morsels also showcase French flair with items such as smoked salmon roll, Nicoise salad and croque monsieur, as well the establishment’s perennial favourites: dill-marinated cucumber sandwich and freshly baked scones served with organic strawberry jam and clotted cream. Guests attending the afternoon tea will also get a chance to receive a limited edition notebook inspired by the French brand’s Frivole jewellery collection. The exclusive Van Cleef & Arpel’s afternoon tea set is priced at HK$388 per person and HK$688 for two. It is available from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm from August 14 to September 30, 2018. Guests can enjoy a glass of champagne with the tea set for an additional HK$220.
