8 ½ Otto e Mezzo BOMBANA
The world’s first cookbook was written by the Sicilian chef Mithaecus, born in the 5th century, and ever since chefs have prized the island’s culinary heritage. In modern times chef Ciccio Sultano’s Duomo has shone as a beacon of Sicilian gastronomic excellence, and in partnership with 8 ½ Otto e Mezzo BOMBANA’s acclaimed chef Antimo Merone, will present a 7-course set menu featuring the pair’s signature dishes expertly matched to Sicilian wines. With a focus on Mediterranean seafood, the menu includes Sultano’s interpretation of the classic island dish Blue Lobster and Red King Sicilian shrimp, as well as his lasagna Principessa, a savoury gelato sandwich, Intramezzo Sultano, and the dessert—a classic Sicilian cannolo. Chef Merone prepares raw tuna with river Beluga caviar, handcrafted tortellini with a Genovese ragout filling and Alba white truffle and roe deer loin.
