April marks the official beginning of spring in Hong Kong, and it means more alfresco brunches with a side of champagne and refreshing cocktails.
From a rooftop brunch with a view to a backyard-style BBQ, these are the places we will be checking out this month:
Cé La Vi
What better way to treat yourself during the weekend than with brunch at one of Hong Kong's most iconic rooftop bars? With its revamped brunch menu, Cé La Vi is offering a truly special brunch experience served with a panoramic view of Central. With an opulent spread featuring fresh seafood, sushi, tempura, grilled assortment and more, the weekend brunch at Cé La Vi is infused with contemporary Asian flavours.
As well as free-flow cocktail and champagne packages, pocket-sizedTizzy shots (+ HK$50 each) and 100% organic juices are available for guests looking for a healthy boost. It's the perfect solution for health-conscious brunch-goers who still love a little bit of indulgence.

Kaum at Potato Head
Get your tropical shirts ready because nothing screams Bali in Hong Kong like Potato Head in Hong Kong, and their Indonesian brunch is one flavourful feast. With free-flow small plates to start, you will be able to sample some favourites at Kaum such as gado gado Kaum (garden vegetables tossed in white cashew and peanut dressing), and kerang panggang madu (roasted clams with lemongrass and honey glaze).
There is also a wide range of large plates for brunch-goers to choose from followed by traditional Indonesian desserts such as kue lampur (Indonesian mud cake) and burbu sumsum (rice flour and coconut milk custard with burnt banana) for an exotic and beautiful finale.

One does not have to wait until the weekend to enjoy brunch, and Operetta understands that better than anybody else. As the beloved Italian eatery aims to make any meal of the week a celebration, they have rolled out a scrumptious buffet available daily for both lunch and dinner.
With antipasti such as quinoa salad with squid, kale and broccoli, fusilli pasta salad and more, the buffet also provides guests with the choice of made-to-order oven-baked pizza, fresh pasta, fish or meat. The buffet also takes care of those who have a sweet tooth with all-time favourites like tiramisu and apple crumble as well as mango chestnut cake and earl grey crème brûlée.
Operetta's All-Italian Buffet is available daily for lunch (HK$158 per person; plus HK$80 for additional main) and dinner (HK$188 per person; plus HK$100 for additional main) along with dessert buffet (HK$90 per person) from 11.30am – 3pm and 6 – 9:30pm. Who doesn’t love a barbecue on the weekend? Linguini Fini’s weekend
brunch is sure to bring all the grill lovers to the yard. Each weekend, the Linguini Fini team will be cooking up a decadent spread that feels just like a good ol’ Brooklyn cook-out, featuring a variety of New York-Italian specialities.
Tucked away in Linguini Fini’s private courtyard, brunch-goers will be able to enjoy a laidback alfresco feast paired with home-made ciabatta and an array of organic pickles, all laid out on a picnic bench.
The weekend barbecue brunch (HK$398 per person) is available every weekend from 12 – 4pm with free-flow packages (HK$99) on offer all afternoon.

If you are into rooftop brunches, this one is for you. Offering sumptuous dishes and buffet options at their rooftop garden with unobstructed views of Victoria Harbour, Red Sugar’s new brunch menu is yet another reason to visit the Kerry Hotel, which boasts industrial-chic interiors designed by André Fu.
With a buffet selection of appetisers such as house-made duck foie gras terrine, Boston lobster salad, and beetroot, vodka and dill-cured salmon to start, make sure you leave some room for their dessert display featuring baba au rum, strawberry Malibu tart and boozy liquid nitro ice cream. Did we mention there is a DIY Bloody Mary trolley?
Red Sugar brunch (HK$638 per person) with free-flow drinks is available every Sunday from 12 – 3pm. The buffet is not available for children under the age of 11 years of age.
