Hotel Okura Macau’s celebrated Japanese restaurant highlights the abundant produce and seafood from the northernmost region of Japan

Hokkaido is renowned for the high quality and freshness of its seafood, and Yamazato at Hotel Okura Macau will is celebrating the region’s famed agricultural products this summer, featuring fresh ocean harvests such as kinki fish, hairy crabs and whelk clams.

The kinki fish is celebrated for its elegant richness and an umami taste. Hokkaido hairy crabs, though smaller in size than other crabs from Japan, offer a deep, rich sweetness from its plankton-rich diet. The two celebrated ingredients, together with fresh whelk clams are featured as highlights on Yamazato’s a la carte menu. Yamazato’s executive chef Akira Hayashi also created a special lunch menu, priced at MOP 580 per person, and a set dinner menu, priced at MOP 1,580 for this celebration, both inspired by Hokkaido. Both set menus are available from now until July 1.
