Hotel Okura Macau’s Japanese restaurant presents a unique menu inspired by an ancient Chinese love story

Celebrating the traditional Tanabata Festival, Hotel Okura’s Yamazato is presenting an exclusive Tanabata gozen set lunch available throughout the month of July. The set is inspired by an ancient Chinese love story from 2000 years ago, about a princess and the cowherd who could only meet once a year on the seventh day of the seventh month in the lunar calendar. The story was introduced to Japan and it has since become a traditional festival. Traditional practices dictate that by writing their wishes on colorful strips of Tanzaku papers and hanging them on bamboo branches, their wishes will come true. The new limited-edition Tanabata gozen set lunch showcases appetisers, Amanogawa sashimi on rice, accompanied by simmered somen noodle with plum, steamed egg custard, simmered vegetables and desserts. The unique lunch set is priced at MOP 280 per person and is available from July 3 to August 12.
