At Bakebe’s opening party for its second "co-baking" space in Tsim Sha Tsui, guests followed step-by step baking instructions on iPads to whip up their trendy pastries, then snapped photos of their finished desserts for Instagram, naturally. Unicorn cakes, rainbow macaroons and Mickey Mouse cookies were just a few of the quirky confections created by amateur pastry chefs. Among them were familiar faces like Ryan Sun, Stephnie Shek and Sarah Zhuang. Like Bakebe’s flagship boutique in Wan Chai, its Kowloon studio is equally tailor-made for social media thanks to its millennial pink decor.
