This year’s DFS Masters of Time exhibition, titled Masters of Time X, was the largest and most spectacular edition yet in celebration of the event’s 10th anniversary, showcasing hundreds of stunning watches and jewellery pieces by over 30 leading brands that were carefully curated by DFS’ experts. To commemorate the anniversary, several pieces were created especially for the exhibition. The exhibition kicked off with a dining experience on Friday, which was themed after the concepts of refraction, light, and time. Chef Raf Alajmo presented a five-Michelin-star calibre, four-course dinner that 200 guests enjoyed on the performance stage of the Venetian Theatre, accompanied by a bespoke sensory digital installation that evoked the evening’s theme through spectacular lighting effects. The following day saw a gala event where 500-plus guests were welcomed by a backdrop where aforementioned jewellery and timepieces were on display, before being invited to explore five exceptional walk-in showcases by Bulgari, Franck Muller, Hublot, Jaquet Droz and Ulusse Nardine. Russian graffiti artist Pokras Lampras gave a live drawing demonstration, complete with his DFS-exclusive Masters of Time X design, while guests enjoyed champagne, caviar, and truffles. The Masters of Time X collection will continue to be on show — and available for purchase — until February 28, 2019, after which the exhibition will travel to select DFS T Galleria stores across the globe.
