VIPs and friends of Laura Derry and Yolanda Choy-Tang gathered for a private screening of A Plastic Ocean, a documentary directed by Craig Leeson that explores the startling amount of plastic pollution in the world’s oceans. The screening was followed by a lively panel discussion about the issue of plastic in Hong Kong, and what people can do to help alleviate the problem. Organised by Eco Drive, a local group founded by Laura Derry, Yolanda Choy-Tang, Claire Yates, Tansy Lau-Tom, Sherry Fung and Julie Lee. Eco Drive aims to support environmental NGOs, such as the Plastic Oceans Foundation, by building awareness through its volunteer network in order to take action to help address the issues caused by plastic pollution.
