Exclusive: Joyce Private Dinner
Belgian interior designer Gert Voorjans and Swiss textile artist, Christoph Hefti, were the guests of honour at an intimate dinner hosted by Joyce. Although the dinner was at Sevva, the evening toasted the opening of the latest exhibit, The Paint We Wear, which was created in collaboration and curated by Voorjans at Joyce’s Central flagship boutique. The resulting installation features a series of vibrant coloured rugs and wall hangings, each filled with illustrations of beings dreamed up by Hefti. Also, Joyce Cabinet, a show space located in the basement of the Central boutique showcases a range of Voorjans’ fabrics designed in collaboration with internationally renowned silk and fabrics house, Jim Thompson. The collaboration showcases a marriage of elements from East and West, which are pillars to Voorjans’ design aesthetic.
