Following a successful pop-up event at MO Bar in 2015 and the launch of its Singapore branch last year, New York City’s critically-acclaimed speakeasy, Employees Only, is returning to Hong Kong—permanently. In this edition of #TheFirstSupper, Hong Kong Tatler invited a select group of people to the restaurant and bar before it officially opens to the public. Conveniently located in the heart of Lan Kwai Fong, guests enjoyed a range of American comfort food and among the favourites were the signature EO grilled cheese, the sausage cavatelli and the hand-cut steak tartare. Naturally, the night wouldn’t be complete without sampling EO’s extensive cocktail menu, needless to say, our guests were ahead of us—we spotted Victoria Chow sipping on a Manhattan, Janice Leung-Hayes raved about The Amelia an EO signature cocktail and Greg McNamara was never without a negroni—all in all, a good night indeed.
