Cissy Wang, Donnie Yen, David Harilela and Matthew Cheung

David Harilela hosted the sixth edition of The One gala dinner at the Holiday Inn Golden Mile and for the first time, the occasion announced the winners for both The One International and The One Hong Kong Humanitarian Awards. The One International recognises the work of people who are making proactive efforts to combat war, famine, poverty and disease abroad and The One Hong Kong supports the game-changers in Hong Kong, whose work is benefitting the community at large. This year the recipient of The One International Humanitarian Award was Shobha Rani for her extensive work in educating and caring for children in Hyderabad, India. Jessie Yu, the co-founder of the Hong Kong Single Parents Association received The One Hong Kong Humanitarian Award. Aside from the award ceremony, a high point of the evening was Danny Diaz’s entertaining musical performance, which had many erupting in fits of laughter.
