The Rugby Sevens weekend kicked off in style at adventurer Annabelle Bond’s stunning home on The Peak with a glamorous party featuring a guest list of sporting legends and Hong Kong high-fliers. Spotted sipping champagne and admiring the spectacular view from Annabelle’s panoramic poolside terrace were rugby greats such as Brian O’ Driscoll, Sean Fitzpatrick, George Gregan, Jean De Villiers and Morne du Plessis.
They were joined by Hong Kong movers and shakers including Annabelle’s brother and sister, Jon Bond and Lucy Bond Marriott, Ben and Martha Keswick, Tania Mohan, Max Gottschalk and James Redmayne. The party was thrown by Annabelle and her partner Ken Hitchner to celebrate the good work of two organisations close to their hearts—Laureus Sport for Good, of which Annabelle is an ambassador, and Just Challenge, a Hong Kong-based company that organises custom-made adventures for executives.
During the party it was announced that O’Driscoll will lead Just Challenge’s expedition to Africa next year to raise funds for Laureus Sport for Good.
