Family and friends of Michelle Ong gathered in the atrium of IFC Mall for the unveiling of the T-Rex fossil exhibition and the World Before Time educational adventure trail, created especially for the occasion. The fossil is the centerpiece of the First Initiative Foundation’s (FIF) charitable outreach program, World Before Time. After the unveiling, guests made their way to the Four Seasons for a safari-themed fundraising dinner, the menu included iconic Hong Kong dishes from the likes of Lung King Heen, Sang Kee Restaurant and Kam’s Roast Goose. The dinner started with a brief opening address from Michelle Ong, who outlined FIF’s progress to date and introduced FIF’s Learning Outreach program, and as part of this year’s program, Fifi, a stuffed T-Rex toy was available for purchase along with a specially-designed Fifi t-shirt and bilingual children’s book, “Smile with Fifi” and “Fifi and Friends.” The evening finished with a private screening of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom at Palace Theatres IFC. With the ongoing support of principal sponsor and charitable partner FANCL, the FIF’s World Before Time initiative demonstrates FIF’s commitment to providing accessible, immersive educational opportunities and experience-based learning to children in need. All funds raised on the night will benefit the FIF’s range of outreach programs.
