HKSPC Raises HK$1.5 Million With Little Artists
The Hong Kong Society for the Protection of Children (HKSPC) hosted a fundraiser on April 23 under the theme of “togetherness”, encouraging children to become young philanthropists.
The Tatler community showed the size of its heart last week when it came to support the latest fundraising initiative from the Hong Kong Society for the Protection of Children.
Little Artists, a project one year in the making, showcased the work of 42 children between the ages of six months and 15 years old. While creating artwork that ranged from paintings to drawings to sculptures under the theme of ‘togetherness’, each young artist also raised money for underprivileged children and families in the city.
The event held at the Pottinger 22 Central art space was a roaring success, raising HK$1.5 million, which will go towards supporting children’s educational and social development, and particularly towards low-income families and single parents, newly arrived families and those from ethnic minority backgrounds.
