Hong Kong Tatler made the most of the three days of competition and socialising that ensued when the Longines Hong Kong Masters arrived back in the city with all the excitement and glamour of the international showjumping circuit. We hosted tables of VIPs at AsiaWorld-Expo to watch the competition, the Masters’ sixth outing in Hong Kong, and there was never a dull moment. The high point of Saturday’s programme was the Longines Speed Challenge. Germany’s Philipp Weishaupt rode to victory in a time of 63.47 seconds, besting Patrice Delaveau of France by just 0.10 seconds. However, Delaveau claimed the championship crown in Sunday’s main event, the Longines Grand Prix, beating out Austria’s Max Kühner by just 0.07 seconds in the jump-off.
