The internationally renowned artist Christo Vladimirov Javacheff, better known simply as Christo, was the guest of honour at a private dinner hosted by Galerie Gmurzynska as part of Art Basel in Hong Kong. Sevva founder Bonnae Gokson arranged a surprise for Christo, plating desserts on a rectangular orange and yellow plate that referenced the Bulgarian artist’s amber-coloured Floating Piers installation on Italy’s Lake Iseo last year, which attracted more than a million visitors during its 16-day run. The evening kicked off with cocktails and canapés in the lounge. Then the guests, who included Kim Robinson and Lumen Kinoshita, were ushered into a private room for the dinner. A toast was made in honour of Christo, who chatted with guests and posed for pictures.
