The art of war was at the forefront of guests’ minds at the opening of this Hong Kong Land-sponsored exhibition at The Rotunda. Gang: The Awakened Warrior comprises 18 bronze and stainless steel sculptures by contemporary Chinese artist Ren Zhe, six of them making their public debut. The striking pieces are evidence of Ren Zhe’s fascination with ancient Chinese warriors and his desire to bring traditional culture into a contemporary setting. Brandon Chau, Veronica Lam and Jonathan Zeman were a few of the familiar faces we spotted at the opening party.
