Hong Kong's power players gathered on May 31 to honour art and literature at the Kwai Fung Hin Art Gallery's "Solaris" exhibit. Japanese artist Atsushi Suwa's show was inspired by the novel of the same name by Polish writer Stanislaw Lem. While his oil paintings teemed with broody depictions of artificial intelligence, the opening ceremony was a cheerful affair. Henry Tang gave a moving opening speech about the importance of art, and other VIPs included Catherine Kwai, Michelle Ma-Chan and Andrew Yuen.
