Local lighting designer Tino Kwan celebrated his birthday with a symphony of neon signs at the the Hong Kong Arts Centre, where he threw a cocktail party toasting the launch of his Unity of Light exhibition. Art aficionados Mico Chung, Jacqueline Leung and Alan Chan studied Kwan’s showcase, which featured 40 years of his vibrant works. Later that evening, Kwan hosted an intimate gala dinner at the St. Regis Hong Kong where magnate Allan Zeman toasted the man of the hour, whose eponymous lighting company has designed neon installations for Two IFC, Park Hyatt Beijing and Raffles Hotel Singapore. The fête burned brightly past midnight.
