Here are the must-attend conferences, festivals and summits in the fields of finance and fintech in 2019

1. Money 20/20 Asia

Location Singapore

More than 3,500 people from 70 countries attended Money 20/20 Asia in 2018, primarily from the fintech and financial services industries, to “create the future of money.” In 2019, expect more of the same, with speakers and panels addressing banking innovations and cryptocurrencies in Asia. If you want a different perspective, try Money 20/20 Europe in Amsterdam (June 27-30) or Money 20/20 USA in Las Vegas (October 27-30).

2. Innovate Finance Global Summit

Date April 29-30, 2019
Location London, UK

Now in its fifth year, this summit attracts finance and fintech leaders from around the world. Around 2,000 industry stakeholders in attendance will hear from a range of speakers across three stages at the 2019 edition. The event also kicks off UK Fintech Week, which is April 29 to May 3.

3. FinCon

Location Washington DC, USA

FinCon is the world’s largest financial content expo. Thousands visit the annual FinCon, which caters to digital content creators, influencers and brands in personal finance and investing. Expect panels and workshops on everything from financial blogging to podcasting during the four-day programme.

4. Hong Kong Fintech Week

Location Hong Kong

Hong Kong Fintech Week attracts thousands of senior executives and features more than 200 of the world’s top fintech founders and experts. As well as the main conference programme, there are also dozens of ancillary events scheduled across Hong Kong during the week.

5. Singapore Fintech Festival

Location Singapore

If this event’s 2018 showing is anything to go by, the Singapore Fintech Festival 2019 should be massive. More than 40,000 people from more than 100 countries attended the week-long event in 2018, making it the biggest gathering of the global fintech community ever. The programme features conferences, networking events, an awards presentation ceremony, an exhibition featuring more than 400 startups, and even an “innovation lab crawl” across Singapore.
