Gen.T honouree and restaurateur Syed Asim Hussain, co-founder of Hong Kong-based hospitality group Black Sheep Restaurants, hosted a series of dinners for the Gen.T community at his newest establishment, Crown Super Deluxe.
A teppanyaki experience that “melds the refinement and luxury of Kobe teppanyaki with a dash of Rocky Aoki's American dream,” Crown Super Deluxe is the group’s 26th venue, and 24th original concept.
Hussain and Black Sheep co-founder Christopher Mark hosted three dinners in total, entertaining Gen.T honourees in the restaurant’s private dining room and offering an exclusive preview of the restaurant, which has yet to open to the public.
As well as the food—prepared by husband-and-wife team Toru Takano and Ami Hamasaki—guests were blown away by illusionist Stuart Palm’s mind-bending performance, as well as an impromptu hypnotism show over dessert in the restaurant’s whisky room. Above all, the honourees expressed joy at being able to connect in person once again after so long apart, and gratitude for the ability to do so when so much of the world is still under lockdown.
