They say some of the very best business plans can be laid out on the back of a napkin—and that’s pretty much what happened for Alexander, who met Dinesh Nihalchand, his fellow founder of property company District 15, at a dinner party. Cutting their teeth on small residential units, the two quickly graduated to serviced apartments with Kush, giving an entirely new take on the slightly staid business property scene—especially in the then decidedly untrendy Western District. Now, it’s all about hotels, specifically their boutique offering Tribute Hotels in Yau Ma Tei; Warehouses on West, a cluster of commercial and retail units in Sai Ying Pun; and Yat Fu Lane, a retail space in Shek Tong Tsui. Business, for Alexander, is looking good.
