Anais Jourden Mak
Up-and-coming designers are two a penny, really. But when your work gets noticed by Rem Koolhaas, you know you’re probably onto something. That’s what happened to Anais, whose brand, Jourden, makes her a firm fixture in Hong Kong’s stable of home-grown fashion talent. Having caught the attention of the renowned architect at age 18, she interned at his shoe label before heading to university and then launching her own brand. Known for its feminine, strong and textured yet simple silhouettes, Jourden was rightfully nominated as one of the LVMH Prize 2015 semi-finalists and Anais was singled out by Italian Vogue as one of their top talents in 2014.
Secret to Success: Being tough and feminine in equal parts— both in what you offer and how you do it.
