When it came to finding a muse and model for her new eponymous range of sunglasses, René didn’t have to look far. The Hong Kong-based beauty—whose glasses line Revé by René (a play on the French word for dream) launched in 2015—was always going to be in a good position to put herself firmly in the middle of the picture of her budding business.
Born out of a frustration with finding sunglasses she really loved, René set out to create a brand for those who wanted to make more of a statement with their specs. With approval from the fashion mecca that is Parisian boutique Colette, which ordered from René within four months of her launch, as well as an avid take-up by Hong Kong’s fashion elite and plans in the pipeline for other accessories, there’s clearly nothing dreamlike about Revé by René.
