Craft beer continues to rise in popularity in Hong Kong and if we were to thank one person for that it would be Christopher. The accountant-turned-beer genius is the co-founder of HK Brewcraft, a homebrew/retail store in Central (with a new second location in Tsim Sha Tsui). It developed from a small start-up into one of the chief establishments in the city’s nascent brewing scene, selling homebrewing kits and hosting workshops, tastings and full-on brewing courses.
He’s also the head brewer of Heroes Beer Co, manages the Hitachino HK Brewery and co-owns two of the city’s finest taprooms—The Ale Project and Second Draft—not to mention his roles on the board of the Hong Kong Beer Judge Certification Programme, a judge of many international competitions and the secretary of the HK Homebrewers Association. For many, his work is at the heart of Hong Kong's craft beer revolution—cheers to that.
