Food consultant and one half of Twins Kitchen, Joshua Ng’s interest in food is far-reaching. His projects include cosy cafe Common Ground, a new Central pop-up retail space called Preset and Hong Kong’s first restaurant incubator, Taste Kitchen, at PMQ. Further from home there’s Gao, a Chinese dumpling bar in Copenhagen, a city that he and his twin brother Caleb nd full of intrigue, particularly when it comes to the interaction between people and food. The twins’ various projects also include social endeavours, such as developing ways to solve one of the food industry’s biggest problems, waste disposal. Winner of the Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award in 2017, Joshua plans to use his prize money to gather yet more experience abroad, with the aim of applying his newfound knowledge to raise public awareness of food design back home.
