Ippo experimented with classic black-and-white theme for this luxury home in Kuala Lumpur.
Yin and yang; feminine and masculine. These two contrasting forces of energy can often complement each other to form a harmonious whole. While monochrome designs provide a clean look that many adore, the challenge lies in striking the perfect balance between these two stark contrasts to ensure one does not overpower the other.
Nestled within the gated Broadleaf Residences @ HomeTree, the Meadow M2 is a testament to modern interior design: innovative and functional designs that create what Danny Kua, the founder of Ippo, describes as a perfect balance in between. This semi-detached unit of 4,790 sq ft is a great example of how you don’t need to compromise style for practicality.

The play between light and dark inspired the design concept for the Meadow M2. While it might sound deceptively simple on the surface, Kua comments that the intentional design choices made in line with the theme allow Ippo to create a dramatic ambience throughout the house with just these two colours.
But to ensure that neither strong colour overpowered the other, a selection of earthy hues was also incorporated into their selection of materials. “The natural wood accents that are incorporated throughout the house help to give it a touch of organic warmth while still keeping it modern,” notes Kua.
