For everything: GUM

This century-old shopping centre, housed in a historic building on Red Square, offers every European fashion brand imaginable plus a few Russian ones. You can also buy caviar by the vat-load, watches, jewellery, books, furs and artworks. Oh, and there's a skating rink for any bored children or husbands.

For high fashion: KM20

The "Dover Street Market of Moscow", KM20 is a high-fashion, ultra-cool department store that is best described as the Vetements aesthetic brought to life.

Don't miss the cafe on the top floor for coffee and cakes.

For local designers: Tsum

The ideal department store for anyone looking to test their Russian fashion history, Tsum is part brocade and fur, part grungy, urban design. Look out for brands Walk of Shame (a Tatler favourite) and Vika Gazinskaya.
