Prada Station pop-up
For the Christmas holidays, Prada invites shoppers to board its luxury train, an extravagant pop-up installation where there’s the chance to acquire exclusive products chosen for each leg of the journey. The pop-up is designed as a dream-like container, representing the image of Prada on the move. The concept is a reconstruction of a portion of an ideal train. The exterior is a metal shell reminiscent of the American Streamliners of the ‘30s and ‘50s. The interior features walls covered in floral-patterned red silk brocade to create a luxurious, romantic look. The setting is completed by the iconic black-and-white chequered floor which characterises Prada stores around the world since 1913. Around the train, the illuminated platforms host a series of small installations: Christmas versions of life-size Prada Robots become porters pushing luggage trolleys, and the ticket kiosk turns into a concierge to organise visits to the pop-up store and deliver purchases to customers’ homes. Cool!

2. Get in the spirit

Galaxy Christmas displays
There are holiday decorations, and then there are Macau’s holiday decorations. Come December, it seems as if the city’s resorts hold a competition to see who can put up the most extravagant display, think gigantic trees, dazzling 3D light shows and tech-forward LED displays. These aren't your average neighbourhood Christmas decorations but if you’re looking for somewhere to get into the spirit of the holidays, look no further Galaxy properties. Santa Ron will celebrate with guests at East Square; the Christmas Grand Parade features plenty of kid-friendly Christmas characters touring around Galaxy Macau and Broadway Macau, while at StarWorld Hotel, the daily Christmas Highlight Show offers a colourful, festive show that will supply plenty of greeting card-worthy photos.

The Sound of Music
One of the world’s most popular and successful musicals, The Sound of Music is sure to delight audiences in Macau over the Christmas and New Year period. This highly-acclaimed production comes from the home of West End musical theatre—the famous London Palladium—where it celebrated a record-breaking 954 performances and was seen by more than two million people. To add to the excitement, the well-loved musical will feature 18 talented youngsters from Macau and Hong Kong playing the Von Trapp family children. The Sound of Music tells the uplifting true story of Maria, the fun-loving governess who changes the lives of the widowed Captain Von Trapp and his seven children by re-introducing them to music, culminating in the family’s escape across the Austrian mountains as tensions rise prior to the outbreak of World War II. The original Broadway production has won five Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and was Rodgers and Hammerstein’s biggest success. The score includes some of the most memorable songs ever performed on the stage, including My Favourite Things, Do-Re-Mi, Climb Ev’ry Mountain and wonderful title song The Sound of Music.

Hacken Lee & Joey Yung Live Around the World in Macao
Two of the most popular Asian stars, Hacken Lee and Joey Yung, are joining hands and voices to bring another spectacular concert to Macau this Saturday. Though generally known as solo artists, the pair has an undeniable chemistry as fans who attended their highly lauded concert at The Venetian Macao last year well know. The duo first collaborated back in 2005, with their debut song Cannot Delay winning a number of awards. Their relationship has gone from strength to strength and this latest concert, with love as its central theme, may be their greatest collaboration to date. The new concert will see the duo combining their vocal talents in imaginative new arrangements of their best-known songs as they weave a musical tale of the ups and downs of romance.
