Thomas & The Little Big Club All Stars
Macau’s light rail transit system may not be moving for years yet, but passengers can get on board now with Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends at Sands Cotai Central. The resort’s new line-up of family-friendly entertainment features some of the world’s most popular children’s characters, including the much-loved #1 blue engine; Angelina Ballerina; Bob the Builder; Fireman Sam; Mike the Knight; and Barney, a 200-million-year-old, huggable T-Rex. Collectively known as Thomas & The Little Big Club All Stars, young ones are invited to sing, dance, dress up and have fun with the cast of animated characters at specially created activities such as the Thomas Friendship Breakfast, the Thomas & The Little Big Club All Stars meet & greet and The Little Big Club All Stars Parade.

Miu Lady Pop-U
Three gigantic Miu Lady bags, crafted in Madras leather and decorated with the brand’s iconic jewel buckle, are sure to catch everyone’s eyes at the launch of the eponymous pop-up shop at Galaxy Macau this Saturday. The playful, attention-grabbing installation is dedicated to the aforementioned Miu Lady bag and features a series of short films touting its appeal. Available in a feminine palette of pop-bright shades, and hand-embellished with gemstones in equally vibrant hues, this elegant accessory perfectly represents Miu Miu's irreverent spirit. To celebrate the launch of the pop-up store, the brand will unveil a special Ayers collection of Miu Lady bags.

Ying E Chi Macau Film Festival 2017
Art-house cinema Cinematheque‧Passion hosts the fourth annual Ying E Chi Macau Film Festival with a programme that pays tribute to the talents of young independent filmmakers. This year, the festival will screen a selection of films from the New Taiwanese Cinema and Hong Kong New Wave, including the remastered version of Taipei Story (1985) by the late director Edward Yang, Hou Hsiao-hsie’s The Boys from Fengkuei (1983), as well as Peter Yung’s The System (1979), which will be shown in Macau for the first time. Film (and history) buffs should also catch Ballad on the Shore (2017), a Hong Kong documentary film by Ma Chi Hang about the decline in the fishing industry, which is sure to resonate with Macau audiences. In addition, acclaimed Japanese-based Malaysian director Lim Kah Wai will present the "Completely Independent Film Workshop", where young filmmakers can learn how to make the film of their dreams on a limited budget.

In Love with Scotland, The Macao Orchestra
The Macao Orchestra, conducted by Francis Kan, presents an evening of works by Felix Mendelssohn, a composer with a classical penchant for the Romantic period, and a fondness for the land of the brave. The programme includes Mendelssohn’s Overture to the Hebrides and Symphony No. 3 “Scottish”, two works that not only vividly express the German composer’s love for Scotland’s distinct natural beauty and culture but also reflect his unique musical style and personal spirit and taste.
