1. Celebrate diversity
Lusofonia Festival
Macau marks the 20th anniversary of the Lusophonia Festival this year with a celebration of the cultures of Portugal’s former colonies, as well as that of the local community, that is bigger and better than ever. Showcasing the rich cultures of Portuguese-speaking countries and regions 10— Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, East Timor, Guinea-Bissau, Goa, Daman and Diu, Mozambique, São Tomé and Príncipe, and, of course, Macau and Portugal—the festival features regional gastronomy, music, dance, art, photography and film, as well as traditional costumes, arts and crafts and street games.
