Orfeo ed Euridice
Set outdoors at Mount Fortress, the Macao International Music Festival and the Israeli Opera bring to life a new production of Orfeo ed Euridice, the lyric tragedy by Christoph Willibald Gluck, considered to be one of the most important operas of the 18th century. Based on the mythological story about the singer and poet Orfeo, who loses his wife and receives a second chance from the gods to bring her back to life, this production offers an insightful look at the tormented soul of the artist in search of his muse.
