The renowned ballet has arrived in Hong Kong for its Asian debut

Forbidden love, duty and sacrifice... the classic combination has embedded Alexandre Dumas' 1848 novel into romantic literary canon, enduring the test of time with over a century of theatrical, film and dance adaptations. Renowned American choreographer Val Caniparoli produced the acclaimed Lady of the Camellias ballet back in 1994 to the music of Chopin, creating an artistic masterpiece. Now debuting in Asia for the first time since its conception, the Hong Kong Ballet will perform Lady of the Camellias this November. We take a look behind the scenes and get exclusive access to rehearsals with principal ballet dancers, Yao Jin and Jia-bo Li.
