The luxury carmaker commits to going green in the next four years

Although Bentley has never launched a pure electric vehicle, the luxury carmaker told Roadshow at a media event in California last week that they plan to electrify its entire vehicle portfolio by the year 2023.

Bentley's sales and marketing chief, Chris Craft, revealed that every Bentley vehicle will be offered in a hybrid option within the next four years, although which models will be getting the electric treatment first remains unknown.

It's likely that the upcoming eco-friendly Bentley models will be equipped with the same powertrain as the plug-in electric Bentayga Hybrid SUV, the company's very first electric vehicle—hailed the "world’s first luxury hybrid"—which launched last year in Canada and the United States.

Craft also teased that Bentley's first fully electric car will launch by 2025. Watch this space.
