In this iconic festive flick, the eight-year-old boy battles two dimwit thieves in the absence of his parents with some genius booby-traps—it’s a light-hearted classic that' never gets old.

4. It's A Wonderful Life (1946)

It’s not difficult to see why Frank Capra’s fantasy drama is considered the father of all Christmas movies—Jimmy Stewart plays George Bailey who, on the verge of committing suicide on Christmas Eve, is saved by an angel who shows him how many lives he has touched and how his absence would matter.

Netflix’s latest Christmas original is one of their best holiday creations yet. Vanessa Hudgens plays dual roles as a Stacey, a Chicago baker, and Margaret, Duchess of the fictional kingdom of Montenaro. The two meet at a royal baking competition and decide to switch identities, and there begins the romantic entanglements.

6. The Christmas Chronicles (2018)

Kurt Russell stars as Santa Claus—do we need any more reasons to watch this Netflix original?
