A look at some of the items from Sir David and Lady Lucy Tang's eccentric collection of artworks, furniture and more that will go under the hammer at Christie's London

The world of the late Sir David Tang was an extraordinary one filled with all manner of fabulous things—from artworks and quirky artefacts to beautiful and bizarre collectables—which filled his many homes, clubs and restaurants.

Though widely varied and eclectic in taste, his collection possesses a uniformity that people have come to love and recognise as distinctly David Tang.

On January 31, Christie’s London will be auctioning pieces from Sir David and his wife Lady Lucy Tang’s private collection, with items ranging from original artworks by Jean-Michel Basquiat and Tracey Emin to Goyard luggage pieces and collectable furniture, including furniture that dates as far back as the 1700s.
