Get to know the cast of the second season of Netflix's 'Bling Empire', which follows the journey of wealthy Asian Americans in Los Angeles

Mark your calendars: Bling Empire returns on May 13 with its second season.

The Netflix overnight sensation premiered in January 2021. Centred around the lives of a group of wealthy Asian Americans in Los Angeles, the show is often described as a real-life Crazy Rich Asians.

Dorothy Wang

Reality TV veteran Dorothy Wang joins Bling Empire this season. The billionaire heiress is the daughter of Chinese American businessman Roger Wang, and has starred in a string of reality shows including Rich Kids of Beverly Hills, Fetch Me a Date and Famously Single. 

Wang is an entrepreneur: she runs jewellery line Fabuluxe, and a champagne brand called Rich and Bubbly. She is also a licensed real estate broker.

Mimi Morris

Vietnam-born Mimi Morris, who at the time of writing has garnered a 39,000-strong following on Instagram, is a model and philanthropist.  

Morris came from humble beginnings. During the Vietnam War, Morris was said to have spent a couple of years living in a hole in the ground with her seven siblings, as they were unable to flee their village. She eventually moved to the US. 

She will appear on the show alongside her husband Donald Morris, the CEO of plumbing manufacturing firm Morris Group International.

Kane Lim

Singaporean entrepreneur Kane Lim, who works in real estate, is said to have become a millionaire by age 20. His family has business interests in oil, shipping and real estate. 

With 674,000 followers on Instagram at the time of writing, Lim has a reputation as something of a style icon. In May 2022, he became the first Southeast Asian brand ambassador for Fenty Beauty.

Jaime Xie

Former competitive equestrian Jamie Xie grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area—her father is Ken Xie, CEO of Silicon Valley-based cybersecurity firm Fortinet, who built the very first VPN and firewall. 

Xie, who has been a regular at fashion weeks for some time, has amassed a following for her “unboxing” videos on YouTube, where she showcases luxury goods bought during shopping sprees.

Christine Chiu

Taiwan-born Christine Chiu, who serves as an executive producer on Bling Empire, was one of the show’s breakout stars. She competed on Dancing With the Stars last year.

Chiu runs Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery with her husband, plastic surgeon Gabriel Chiu.

Kevin Kreider

Seoul-born actor and model Kevin Kreider was adopted by a US couple and grew up in Philadelphia.

The first season of the show is seen through Kreider’s eyes—and he quickly emerged as a fan favourite.

Kreider is outspoken about changing how Asian men are portrayed in the media.

Kim Lee

A sought-after DJ and producer in the music business, French-Vietnamese Kim Lee—who’s been dubbed “the Asian Kim Kardashian”—has worked with the likes of Kanye West, Diplo and Steve Aoki. Prior to working in music, she was a model.

Anna Shay

Anna Shay’s life of private jets, fine jewellery and flashy parties is thanks to family money.

Her late father, Edward Shay, founded Pacific Architects and Engineers, a US defense and government services contractor. In 2006, Anna Shay and her brother reportedly sold their shares in the firm for US$1.2 billion.

Emerging as the “queen bee” of Bling Empire in season one, Shay is of Japanese and Russian descent. 

Kelly Mi Li

Chinese American entrepreneur and film producer Kelly Mi Li, who is an executive producer of Bling Empire, made headlines for her tumultuous relationship with American actor Andrew Gray on season one of the show.

Cherie Chan

Denim empire heiress Cherie Chan was once signed to Sony Music Japan. With the disapproval of her mother, however, Chan shifted her focus to family. On season one of the show, she was pregnant with her partner Jessey Lee’s baby. 

The season two trailer shows signs of a rift between Chan and Lee, who tied the knot in Paris earlier this year. 

Guy Tang

Guy Tang is a celebrity hairstylist-turned-YouTube star, notably working with Mariah Carey.
