Clockenflap 2019: What To Expect At Hong Kong's Biggest Music Festival
Hong Kong’s premier music festival festival is back for its 12th edition on 22-24 November at Central Harbourfront, bringing in 100 top international, regional and local talents in every genre, from indie-pop to electronic to post-punk, for fans of all ages and musical tastes.
Acts to watch
With 100 live acts and DJs including 27 artists making their Hong Kong debuts and 10 Clockenflap-exclusive sets across six stages, this year’s Clockenflap promises to be yet another action-packed weekend.
Previously announced acts include American electropop goddess Halsey, best known for her Billboard-record-breaking single “Eastside” feat. Benny Blanco and Khalid, in addition to British indie-folk giants Mumford & Son and Miami rap prodigy Lil Pump, famous for his smash-hit debut single “Gucci Gang”.
Fans will be thrilled to know that the final lineup includes big names such as Australian singer-songwriter Nick Murphy (formerly known as Chet Faker), British indie-rockers Bombay Bicycle Club, UK electronic-rock icons Metronomy, celebrated UK-based psychedelic pop purveyors Glass Animals and British experimental rockers These New Puritans.
This year, Clockenflap introduces Clockenflap-Plus, an all access pass that grants exclusive access to the VIP lounge directly facing the Harbourflap mainstage, where guests can enjoy complimentary canapés and relax on comfy sofas and beanbags.
Other benefits include access to premium washrooms, dedicated runners to fetch your favourite eats from any of the festival’s food vendors, fast-track access to skip the queues at the main entrance and all onsite bars, as well as one complimentary welcome drink each day.
Where to stay
Guests flying in for the three-day festival can stay close to the action without compromising on luxury at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, Clockenflap’s official hotel partner this year.
Located adjacent to the Central Harbourfront, the hotel offers a room package that includes an overnight accommodation in a Harbour View room, one-day admission to Clockenflap for two, a daily breakfast in the Clipper Lounge or Café Causette and a draft beer served in silver tankards at the Captain’s Bar.
