A selection of David Bowie's private art collection will be available at Sotheby's Hong Kong Gallery until October 15
Art aficionados and fans of David Bowie have something to get excited about this week: Sotheby’s is bringing the best of the music icon’s art collection to Hong Kong for a preview showcase ahead of the auction in November.
An avid collector and admirer of art, Bowie has accumulated an impressive collection in his lifetime, 400 of which will be auctioned at the three-part Bowie/Collector sale from November 10 to 11 in London. An array of 35 highlights — including works from iconic contemporary artists Jean-Michel Basquiat, Damien Hirst and Frank Auerbach — will be displayed at Sotheby’s Hong Kong Gallery from October 12 to 15.
