Witness how the classic fairytale is brought to life through the enchanting art of ballet

The Hong Kong Ballet is presenting a brand new production of “Pinocchio” for the 2015/16 season. Featuring mesmerising choreography performed by the ballet team, the much-loved story will be re-envisioned from August 28 to 30 and from September 4 to 6.

The performance aims to keep young families and ballet lovers entertained with magical moves created by Swedish choreographer Pär Isberg. While the brainchild behind the colourful and mythical costunes is French costume designer Jérôme Kaplan, the set is the masterpiece of Swedish set designer Bo-Ruben Hedwall.

In addition, dancers are encouraged to contribute their own ideas to the transformation of this old fairy tale classic, ensuring the show will be a creative and breathtaking experience.

Young talents were invited to audition for the roles of Black Mice, White Mice, Starfish and Crabs in this production, with successful applicants given the chance to share the stage with the company dancers.
