After several delays, Rosewood Phnom Penh is finally about to open its doors
Phnom Penh continues to climb to the top of travellers’ must-visit destinations. With that, the city’s hospitality industry is booming and Rosewood is the latest to announce that they’ll be opening a luxury hotel in the Cambodian capital.
The Rosewood Phnom Penh will occupy the top 14 floors of the stunning 39-storey Vattanac Capital Tower, which has panoramic views of the city and the Mekong River. The skyscraper also has Gold Certification in LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).
“Cambodia is a location with great potential for tourism that is currently developing at a fast rate,” says Hanny Wahyuni Gunawan, communications director at Rosewood Phnom Penh, adding, “in addition to the increasing amount of many famous services being imported from foreign countries, which in turn, lifts the country’s reputation, as well as the improving infrastructure.”

Rosewood Phnom Penh will boast 175 rooms and suites–amongst the largest in Phnom Penh. Dining options will include Brasserie Louis, which serves a mix of French and Cambodian favourites, Cuts—a bar and grill—and Iza, a Japanese-style izakaya. Sora, the hotel's sky bar, sits on the 37th floor and boasts stellar views of the bustling city below, which guests can enjoy while sipping one of the bar's exquisite and rare whiskies.
