When Kevin Poon opened WOAW concept store, he had bigger ideas than just a space to house cool, coveted lifestyle products. To date, WOAW has brought Hong Kong's creative community together with music gigs, product launches and art shows. This weekend, the cultural hub will open Introspectives, an exhibition featuring the works of New York-based artist Romon Kimin Yang—better known as Rostarr.

For over two decades, Rostarr has toed the line between art and design with his abstract polymorphic paintings, totemic iconographic characters and his distinct approach to calligraphy.

Curated by Kevin and the WOAW team, Introspectives will feature abstract portraits—many depicting hip hop heavy weights such as Jay-Z and Tupac Shakur —and paintings that resemble psychedelic dreamscapes, including never-before-seen pieces by the artist. As the exhibition name suggests, Rostarr's works invite viewers on a journey to explore and experience his most intimate thoughts and ideas.

To celebrate the opening of the exhibition, Rostarr has launched an exclusive capsule series of his signature sculpture in three colors, with a special golden combo exclusively available in-store and online at WOAW. Check out some of the artworks in the gallery above.
