Covid-19 may have put most events on pause this year, but the spirit of Halloween isn’t completely gone. While huge parties at Lan Kwai Fong may not be happening, there are still some festive activities and events around town.

Whether you’re looking for a ghoulish drink or if you’re looking to throw an intimate Halloween gathering with friends at the hotel, here are the best Halloween events around town.

1. The Dispensary Vault Party

Where: The Dispensary

What: The Dispensary is turning its bar into the next dramatic bank robbery location at its Vault Lockdown Party on October 29. Inspired by Money Heist on Netflix, guests will be greeted by a team of Dali-masked misfits dressed in the show’s signature red jumpsuits. A big Money Heist fan? Participate in the trivia quiz to win a special blood-red cocktail made specially by cocktail master, Alberto Aldave. 

Come dressed in your best haunting attire—guests with the best costume will stand the chance to win brunch vouchers or bottles of bubbles that night.

2. Cordis Halloween Staycation

What: Skip the party queues and check yourself in for a weekend of pure indulgence instead. Cordis is introducing a Halloween-themed afternoon tea buffet staycation package on the October 31 where guests will feast on spooky-looking desserts including the classic croquembouche, pumpkin face orange macaron and an eyeball-shaped white chocolate raspberry mousse cake. 

Kid-friendly Halloween activities will also be held on the day, such as a series of game booths and a good old-fashioned trick or treat session around the hotel. Afterwards, head back to your family hotel room and spend the night binging on scary movies to get into the Halloween spirit.

3. Aqua Luna Haunted Harbour Cruise

What: What’s better than a night cruise by the harbour? A Halloween-themed one. Aqua Luna will be transforming their signature night cruise into a ship of terrors on the October 31. 

As eerie Halloween tunes play in the background, enjoy a free-flow selection of drinks including prosecco, house wine, beer, soft drinks and juices to calm your nerves.

4. Te Quiero Mucho ‘Day Of The Dead’ Fiesta

What: Head over to Te Quiero Mucho in Sheung Wan to celebrate Día de Los Muertos––Day of the dead––from October 29 to November 5.

Introducing two hours of free-flow tipples where guests can enjoy a menu of limited-time cocktails specially crafted with Mexican tequila, house wines, beers, Margaritas and Micheladas, pair the cocktails with a few rounds of the restaurant’s delicious tacos, followed by some traditional ceramic skull painting for a ghoulish good time.

5. Stazione Novella Doggy Halloween

What: Don’t feel like dressing up? Don’t sweat it. Make your pup do all the hard work instead. Stazione Novella will be throwing a dog-friendly Halloween celebration at their annual Doggy Halloween event on the October 31. Dress your pet up and get a free coffee or espresso martini on the house from 12pm to 2pm. If you’re afraid that your pooch will feel left out, they’ll also get a free house-made pupperoni on the day.

6. TMK The Lost Boys

What: Taqueria Super Macho will be celebrating Día de Los Muertos with a special brunch for one day only. From brunch classics such as ribeye and potato hash-based Huevos Divorciados, to Baja-inspired tacos, the event is topped off with free-flow Margaritas and beer to keep the good times going.

Finish the meal with a haunting face painting, then come back in the evening for some Halloween treats and off-menu Tijuana-style beef birria tacos. 

9. The Pawn Buena Vista

What: Celebrate Festival of the Dead with live entertainment and body painting at The Pawn in Wan Chai this Halloween. Putting a Halloween twist to their usual Buena Vista Social Club event, enjoy some deliciously spooky cocktails while listening to a night of live music. 

10. Lee Lo Mei Halloween Party

What: Halloween tattoo stickers, three-hours of live DJ performance and buy-one-get-one YAU beers all night, Lee Lo Mei's Halloween party is a guaranteed night of fun. Offering a special set menu for HK$398 per person that night, expect to munch on the restaurants' signature dishes including LEE's little lobster. 

From 26-30 October, Lee Lo Mei will be partnering with YAU, giving diners who purchase a pint of brand's beer a chance to win complimentary prizes through their Halloween lucky draws. If you're a sucker for fried chicken, beer and merch, make your way to Lee Lo Mei next week.
