When it comes to marketing conferences in Hong Kong, the hottest ticket in town is HKTDC’s MarketingPulse, a regional premium conference for marketers and brands. This year, MarketingPulse will happen on 20 March at HKTDC, focusing on the theme, “Dear Brands, Let’s Sail to the Future!”, with a view to invigorate those on the bleeding edge of marketing. A full day of exhibitions, dynamic speaker sessions, insightful consultations, and high-energy networking activities over Happy Hour awaits global professionals from brands, advertising agencies and media.

MarketingPulse’s yearly speaker lineup is also a feature, regularly attracting senior leaders from the world’s largest brands. This year’s edition will see over 40 speakers from AirAsia, McDonald’s, Google, Burger King, Baidu, LinkedIn and more take the stage to impart wisdom and share their invaluable experiences.

Among the most popular speakers to see in 2019, Ms. Bozoma Saint John takes top spots. Renown for her trailblazing marketing prowess, Ms. Saint John’s formidable career thus far includes serving as Head of Music and Entertainment Marketing Group at Pepsi-Cola North America, then Chief Brand Officer for Uber and prior to Uber, Head of Global Consumer Marketing for Apple Music and iTunes where she all but revolutionised the tech giant’s Apple Music brand when she introduced the platform’s new interface during her keynote at the Worldwide Developers Conference. Buzzfeed later even described her as “the coolest person to ever go on stage at an Apple event”.

Also not to be missed is Mr. Jonathan Mildenhall, who served as Chief Marketing Officer at Airbnb and was formerly the Vice President of Global Advertising Strategy and Creative Excellence at the Coca-Cola Company. After a fast ascent through the ranks of London’s ad industry, where Mr. Mildenhall worked on some of the world’s most compelling ad campaigns for brands such as Audi, Smirnoff, Alfred Dunhill and PlayStation, the talented ad executive went on to make waves as Coca-Cola, establishing the effervescent Open Happiness platform, and later helped to grow Airbnb into a superbrand with homes in 191 countries. Today Mr. Mildenhall is partnering with some of the Silicon Valley’s most notable investors and founders through his own venture, TwentyFirstCenturyBrand.

A little closer to home, music and movie lovers will be eager to hear from Hong Kong’s own Juno Mak, who will speak as a creator, director and producer alongside Ms. Saint John in a heavyweight panel about embracing global trends and journeying into the new era of brand marketing.
