In their pursuit of operational excellence, HKAH-SR has also recently renovated their hybrid Cardiac Catheterisation and Interventional Operating Room, meaning it has been designed to support both catheter-based and surgical procedures.

Having the ability to serve diagnostical, interventional and surgical functions leads to a significant improvement in the timeliness of treatments and minimalisation of surgical risk for patients suffering from heart disease.

The Adventist Heart Fund was first established in 1991 to provide both free and low-cost treatment for children with congenital heart disease, and has since served more than 300 patients. With over 28 years of experience and the opening of the Hybrid CCIC, the Adventist Heart Fund has expanded its services to adults this year. HKAH-SR is also the only private hospital in the city that currently provides interventional cardiac treatment and surgery services for paediatric patients.

Their state-of-the-art Hybrid Cath Lab has been equipped with the latest biplane imaging system from Siemens, which gives surgeons enhanced visualisation and precision for procedures, whilst also offering patients improved comfort, quicker recovery time, fewer complications, minimal radiation exposure and better long-term outcomes.
