K11 Musea Curates New Festive Pop-ups Just in Time for Christmas
With many travelling plans curtailed this year, K11 Musea is bringing the best of Europe direct to our doorstep with a fabulously festive array of artisanal Christmas pop-ups across its cultural-retail space.
Located on the sixth floor of K11 Art & Cultural Centre, the setting of the new festive pop-ups could not be more idyllic; surrounded by awe-inspiring international works of art with the city’s iconic harbour views as a breathtaking backdrop, it promises to deliver the perfect blend of artistic flair and festive fun.
At K11 Musea, guests will find themselves transported to a magnificent winter wonderland, with mesmerising holiday decorations straight out of a storybook, such as mesmerising gigantic Christmas ornaments, an oversized nutcracker and a huge clock tower. Soak up holiday vibes aplenty with fairy-lit stalls featuring handmade crafts and gorgeous gift sets by the likes of Rosewood Hong Kong, MoMA Design Store, Bloom & Blossom as well as unique works by emerging designers. From extravagant Yuletide hampers to adorable stocking fillers, there's something for everyone on your gift list.
‘Tis the season to eat, drink and be merry—and K11 Musea’s new festive pop-ups will be filled with opportunities for festive indulgence. Treat yourself to exquisite gourmet delights including homemade pre-packed Beef Wellington by Royal Truck, beautifully wrapped artisanal cheeses, luxurious jams, and well as the finest wines and spirits.
Shoppers spending over HK$5,000 at K11 Musea can also redeem a beautiful festive decoration, to be personalised by an on-site calligrapher (alternatively, you can purchase the decoration at HK$120); the pop-ups on the sixth floor run every day from 17 - 27 December with calligraphy services available 2-6pm on weekdays and 1-7pm on weekends and public holidays. The Royal Truck is open from 12 noon to 8 pm from now to 3 January 2021 (except Mondays).
The winter magic continues at Globoscope—a stunning immersive sensory light showcase that K11 Musea has brought from France to Asia for the very first time this holiday season. First seen at the Fête des Lumières de Lyon in 2014, Globoscope travelled across Europe including France, Italy, and the U.K and then to the U.S.A before landing in Hong Kong.
Featuring hundreds of luminous light spheres that shine in harmony, this site-specific installation has been created and configured especially for its setting in K11 Musea’s Bohemian Garden. Surrounded by Hong Kong’s glittering skyline, this light spectacular has been designed to complement the city’s vibrant spirit—with each sphere carefully positioned as an individual glowing point of light, before joining in unison for swirling choreographed movements that shimmer across the entire landscape.
This captivating venue is open until 3 January 2021, with 20-minute slots from 5.30-10pm each evening; private sessions are also available for those planning extra-special moments with friends and family, or even a surprise romantic proposal for your partner. Sessions can be reserved on K11 Musea’s website here.
Meanwhile, K11 Musea will be also hosting a special festive event—the Santa Muse Surprise—over the holiday season from 24 - 27 December, where visitors will be able to witness how Santa work his magic at anywhere in the cultural-retail space.
For those who are celebrating at home on Christmas day, K11 Musea will have you covered, bringing the ultimate holiday spirit directly to your doorstep on December 25. Curated by Hong Kong’s emerging talents including Cedar Academy, a musical and visual spectacular Christmas wonder will be showcased at K11 Musea for families to enjoy at home. Don't miss out on the programme and watch it here.
