As skateboarding made its debut at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, K11 Musea is presenting the city’s largest skate culture-pop this summer, where visitors will be able to explore the fun, free-spirited sport through a series of exhibitions and workshops

Skateboarding is booming at the moment. The sport is seen everywhere on social media after its debut at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, and there’s reason to believe that it can become as popular as the traditional sports, as proven by the historic achievements and thrilling performances of this year’s top athletes—including gold medalists Momiji Nishiya and Yuto Horigome.

And with the new Olympic sport continues to grow in popularity, K11 Musea is presenting a new skateboarding pop-up that will allow visitors to enjoy the city’s largest indoor skatepark experience and gain a better understanding of the sport.

In partnership with Hong Kong’s first skate shop 8FIVE2 and sneaker collector SOLEADDICTT, the pop-up will not only offer a wide selection of skateboard workshops, but also showcase the largest, and possibly rarest, collection of Nike Dunks ever showcased in the world. Visitors will also be able to customise their own skateboards at the pop-up.

The indoor skatepark designed by All Hong Kong Skateboards Association (AHKSA) will be available for people to experience through an array of K11 Konversations, workshops and two skateboarding competitions as well.
