Mamamoo's Wheein is leaving RBW
Mamamoo's Wheein is leaving the group label, RBW. However, the vocalist will continue to be part of the girl group until December 2023. The announcement comes days after the release of the quartet's first all-ballad album, WAW.
RBW confirmed that it's renewing contracts with Mamamoo members, Solar, Moonbyul and Hwasa, citing that they will offer "generous support to fulfil their dreams in musical activities and various fields". After discussion with Wheein, her fellow members and the label, she decided to end her contract but signed an extension to continue to be part of the group.
"We fully respect Wheein’s choice, and we sincerely wish Wheein, who is starting a new chapter in life, happiness and good fortune. We would like to thank Wheein for shining with us for the past seven years," said RBW.
