A favourite pastime for children, colouring books are no longer just for the kindergarten-aged. Grown-ups are also turning to these intricately illustrated journals as an outlet to channel their creative energy. This holiday season, send your loved ones the gift of whimsy and imagination with La La Land, an adults-only colouring book featuring drawings from Hong Kong’s top creative talents and society elites.

The project is a labour of love between Nisha Parmanand and Divia Harilela, and 85 percent of the proceeds from sales will be donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Hong Kong. “As adults we live such stressful and hectic lives that we often forget to slow down,” says Parmanand. “A colouring book seemed like the perfect creative outlet.” She also cites Stuart Semple’s My Happy Colouring Flip Book for adults as an inspiration.

The duo has enlisted a star-studded team of contributors for the project, including top names in Hong Kong’s fashion, dining, art and media. The movers and shakers collaborating on the charitable effort include: André Fu, Yenn Wong, Peter Cheung, Feiping Chang, Antonia Li, Joyce Wang, Jamie Ku and family, Kevin Poon, Ivan Pun, Olivia Croucher Buckingham, Tanya Bennett and more.
